The Shaun Brown’s Country Cricket Clinic will roll into Mudgee on Thursday, January 10, 2013, between 9am and 3pm.
Bracken was the special guest at the Mudgee District Cricket Association’s Super 8s competition in 2010.
Organiser of the coaching clinic, Shaun Brown, is thrilled to have Bracken and Pascoe attend the event.
“Nathan is one the best junior coaches in the business and it’s fantastic that we have him on board for this year’s camp,” Brown said. “Len is a terrific junior coach.”
Bracken played five Test matches for Australia between 2003 and 2005, taking 12 wickets at an average 42.08.
But it was in One-Day Internationals where the left-arm swing bowler made his mark.
He played 116 games for the green and golds, including the 2007 World Cup, and took 174 wickets for an average of 24.36.
In 2008, the New South Welshman was regarded as the best ODI bowler in the world.
He retired in January 2011 after a battle with a knee injury.
Pascoe, 62, was one of the feared bowlers in the 1970s.
Although the likes of Jeff Thompson and Dennis Lillee were the more famous Australian bowlers, right arm fast bowler Pascoe put fear in batsmen.
Pascoe played 14 Test matches for Australia and took 64 wickets at an average of 26.06.
A fast bowler with little subtlety but heaps of aggression, Pascoe regularly topped 145 kilometres per hour.
He took 41 wickets at 21.78 on the 1977 tour of England - including 13 in three Tests.
Pascoe could have played more Test matches but decided to play in Kerry Packer’s World Series Cricket where he thrived against the likes of Tony Greig, Clive Lloyd, Sir Vivian Richards and Barry Richards.
“Our aim with the clinics is to provide an excellent learning experience for enthusiastic cricketers between the ages of six and 16,” Brown said.
“Our program covers all facets of cricket - Twenty20, One-Day and Test formats are all aimed at improving the participants’ skills, knowledge and enjoyment of the game.”
Brown is a professional cricket coach who played his entire junior cricket in country areas of Australia.
